Ghanaian singer Moliy has broken new ground at the Caribbean Music Awards after becoming the first artist from the West African country to win an award at the regional ceremony.
Moliy collected Dancehall Song of the Year for “Shake It to the Max (Fly) Remix,” a collaboration with Jamaican performers Skillibeng and Shenseea and producer Silent Addy. The award came as the ceremony made its debut in Trinidad and Tobago at the National Academy for the Performing Arts.
The victory also extended Shenseea’s run in the category. The Jamaican singer won Dancehall Song of the Year in 2025 for “Hit & Run,” recorded with Masicka and Di Genius.
Moliy entered the 2026 event with three nominations connected to “Shake It to the Max (Fly) Remix,” including Dancehall Collaboration and Dancehall Video of the Year.
