GHANA INNOV8 SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

Stories of Our Heritage, Visions for Our Future

For 2025, the Ghana Innov8 Scholarship will award one $1,000 scholarship to an outstanding student of Ghanaian descent. This year’s scholarship is designed to not only provide financial support but also celebrate Ghanaian heritage, creativity, and storytelling.

Applicants will showcase their talent and vision by submitting a creative performance or piece—a short video, monologue, poem, dramatic scene, song, or visual presentation—highlighting:

A Ghanaian story, historic moment, or cultural theme, OR

How their heritage inspires their aspirations and future contributions.

The selected scholar will be invited to perform or showcase their submission at the Ghana Innov8 Gala on October 11th, 2025, where they will be celebrated as part of the evening’s program.

SCHOLARSHIP GUIDELINES

Scholarships Awardees: 1
Predetermined scholarship award amounts: $1,000
Announcement to Awardee via email: October 6th, 2025
Scholar showcase: October 11, 2025 at the Ghana Innov8 Gala

ELIGIBIILTY CRITERIA

DEADLINE: September 20th, 11:59 PM EST

Must be of Ghanaian descent
Must be currently a high school senior or enrolled in a university or college, pursuing an undergraduate or Master’s degree in the United States
Minimum GPA of 3.0, if applicable
Must submit a creative entry (video, written performance, or artistic piece) showcasing Ghanaian heritage and/or future aspirations.
- Format: 2–3 minute video OR 500–700 word written piece.
- Theme: Tell us a Ghanaian story that inspires you, and share how your heritage shapes your vision for the future
- Short bio (200 words max): Highlighting academic goals, extracurricular involvement, or community service.
