Ghanaian-American Parker Amoo-Mensah Earns First U.S. Youth National Team Call-Up

Ghanaian-American soccer player Parker Amoo-Mensah has earned his first call-up to the United States Youth National Team.

The 18-year-old defender was named to the U.S. Under-19 Men’s National Team roster for an international training camp in Marbella, Spain. The 20-player squad is scheduled to face Wales, England and Norway during the camp.

Amoo-Mensah currently plays professionally for Orlando City B in MLS NEXT Pro. He developed through the Orlando City Academy before making his professional debut in March 2026 and signing his first professional contract with the club in June.

The national team selection marks another significant step in a breakout year for the young defender. At just 18, Amoo-Mensah has progressed from academy soccer to the professional level and now has an opportunity to represent the United States internationally.

The U.S. U19 camp runs from September 24 through October 6 and brings together some of the country’s emerging young players as they continue their development within the U.S. Soccer system.

For the Ghanaian-American community, Amoo-Mensah is another young name to watch as his professional soccer career develops.
